Welcome to Laurens
Laurens, located in northwest Pocahontas County Iowa, was officially platted and dedicated December 24, 1881. According to the 2010 census, we are home to 1,258 people. Because of all of our industries, we have been touted as “The Busiest Little Town in Iowa.” Take a look at our website or come for a visit, and we think you’ll agree.

I love living here because…
The people are so welcoming. I felt at home here within months. I’ve often thought this is because of all the new people our industries bring to town. I’ve tried to pass this welcoming spirit on as I meet new residents.
